We Hate Petroleum

In a nutshell, we hate petroleum. We hate touching the stuff, breathing it, hate where we as a society have to go and what we have to do to get it. What’s more, we think it’s a disgrace the way that the American people have been drenched in it. It’s not just in our cars and trucks, which is bad enough. It’s in a surprising array of goods we use around the house. And it is not good for you. In fact, it’s very, very bad; check out our links page if you want to document the claim.

Dedicated to a Better Future

At Fat City Formulae, we are dedicated to eliminating the use of petroleum-based products, in addition to other chemicals and toxins, wherever we can. We consider ourselves to be artisan brewers of high-performance products that do not contain a witch’s brew of petroleum and synthetic chemicals. All of our products grew out of needs we’ve seen around our homes, in our organic gardens and in our work place. We use these products ourselves, with our families, and we give them to our friends. These products have been extensively tested by the people we love.

It’s a Natural Thing

At least 70% of all of our products is derived from vegetable oil that we recycle from restaurants and culinary schools. Rather than going to a renderer and then re-entering the food supply through animal feed, we take the oil, filter it and process it into a pure, biodegradable, non-toxic biobase called Z-Tox. We then take Z-tox and handcraft it in small batches with other natural oils and substances into our wood preservative, torch fuel and cleaners.
